We are currently out of the office for the next few days at the Yorkshire Crafts for Christmas event which is taking place at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
If you need to get hold of Mark or I please call the office number as normal and leave a message. One of us will check these through the day, or send an email and we will get it when we return each evening.
Many thanks.
Sue

I recently had a shoot with Adrian, Melanie, Samual and Oliver. It’s great this time of year as there is no shortage of colours and textures when shooting outdoors. One of the many things I love about location portraits is the ability to use the landscape and settings I find myself in. We decided to take advantage and headed to Fewston Reservoir which is a lovely location.
Here are the Dalby’s
Here’s Samual

And not forgetting Oliver

A little later than I hoped due to a totally hectic last couple of weeks here is the first of a few updates.
Sue and I met with Stacey and her younger sister almost two weeks ago. The weather was great, the light was fantastic and we all headed for Pontefract Castle. Here are some of our favourites for a sneak preview and there are lots more for Stacey to choose from.

Last Friday, Sue, John and I had a Fantasic day with a great crowd at Clearwell Castle.
It was Edward and Sara’s wedding and it’s always good doing a wedding when you already know some of the guests.
The venue looked fabulous and the weather held for us.
Here are just a few of our favourite images although keep checking back as we will probably keep adding to this post.
Here’s an infra red image of Clearwell

Sara’s beautiful dress

How relaxed is this? The wedding was one of the most relaxed we’ve ever photographed

Edward was getting ready just along the landing

Sara never stops smiling

Sue and I first met Edward at Caroline and Scott’s wedding in Kalkan, Turkey.
This weekend I was delighted to meet Edward again along with Sara, for their pre wedding shoot as they too are getting married and it’s only 10 days away.
The fabulous gothic architecture of Clearwell Castle in the Forest of Dean will be the setting and Sue and I are looking forward to catching up with one or two familiar faces.
When couples are well suited it means we can capture wonderful natural images as they interact and after our shoot I am really looking forward to the wedding.
Here are just a select few of our favourite images.

Earlier this year Sue and I donated a Portrait Shoot and Framed Image auction prize to Keren Redshaw and her colleagues to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research at their Sutton Park event in June. We are told by Keren that the evening was a great success.
A couple of weeks ago I met up with Richard and Mary who were kind enough to bid for the prize along with Simon, Helen and Lucy and 2 friendly dogs and 1 indifferent cat.
Here are a few of our favourite images from the shoot at the family home.

One of the best things about our job (vocation read lifestyle) is the fact that we get to photograph people on one of the happiest days of their lives, their wedding days. We are there to capture fantastic memories for them and hopefully we see them again (as friends!).
6 years ago Sue and I photographed Andrew and Hester’s wedding.
Here they are leaving St Mary’s Church, South Milford to drive over to their reception at www.hazlewood-castle.co.uk

Move on 6 years and you arrive at last week when I travelled to Malton in North Yorkshire, www.stainersfarm.co.uk to be exact and met up with Andrew and Hester, and 2 new “Junior Tango” crew members, Teddy and Archie who were a delight to photograph.
We spent a while catching up and had a great shoot.
Here are some of our favourite images.

I had a great shoot at the end of August with Fraser and Isobel Padmore.
The location was superb. Lots of different areas with great light. It is the sort of location you could shoot at for months and never get bored.
We even managed to have good weather in what can only be described as one of the worst years on record.
Here are a few of my favorites, and I’ve also included one of Berwick simply because of his character.
One of the friendliest dogs I have met, and for those that know me friendly dogs are very few and far between. It could have been helped by the fact that Berwick likes to sit under the apple trees eating the fallen fruit and getting a little tipsy, which I am told he sleeps off under the kitchen table.

A couple of weeks ago I met Nina and Dudley over in Wetherby for their Engagement Shoot.
They are busy planning their wedding for next year at www.hazlewood-castle.co.uk
The evening light was fantastic , nice and low casting long shadows and although it didn’t last very long it was enough to get some great shots.
Here are a few of our favourites.

I love the flare and warmth in this shot.

The Big One Oh!
Beppes is 10 today.
This shot was taken a year ago on a shoot we did for her ninth birthday. It was one of Bethany’s favourite images and was taken just outside the walls of Pontefract Castle.
