A Recent Photo Shoot
Just before our break in Portugal (images coming soon), Mark was down in Warwickshire on a photo shoot with four lively girls. It was a red hot summers day and the location was ideal. Many different settings for shooting and some great light. Here are a few of our favourite images.
Bootland Family Photo Shoot
If you were given a choice between working indoors, in an office or studio, or being outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine, where would you like to be?
This week my office happened to be the east coast of Yorkshire, Filey to be exact.
Personally I would rather be outside, and that’s why I choose to shoot portraits on location.
Arriving early I had a walk along the beach and the sun was burning, although it seemed to cool as the day went on.
I was meeting three generations of the Bootland family.
We all had a great time down on the beach, with lot’s of running around and splashing in the sea and digging.
Here are a few of our favourites from the shoot.
Lucazeau Photo Shoot
Despite the crazy weather we had during July we had warm sunshine for our shoot with Amber, Tristan and their young daughter Lara when we met at Cookham recently.
We started the shoot at the family home and then after a change of outfit’s we went for a walk down by the river Thames.
Here are a selection of our favourite images from the shoot.
George and Holly’s Photo Shoot
I had a great shoot earlier last week when I met George and Holly.
The location was fantastic.
Alfie and Shrimp who you will see below also deserve a mention too.
Alfie is a 15mth old Terrior who has a character and personality that is more in keeping with the size of a Great Dane. He doesn’t sit still for a moment and every now and again you feel something tap your foot, look down and see him looking at you waiting for you to throw his ball!!
Shrimp is a wonderful, elegant dark brown pony who belongs to Holly.
Here’s a selection of our favourite images from the shoot.
Photo shoot with the Bostrom’s
One of the best things about this business has to be the people we meet and the places we shoot.
Last weekend we met with Tracy and her family plus a couple of her nieces for a photo shoot at their home.
It’s a wonderful location and they were all really fabulous to work with, we had a great time.
We were spoilt for choice regards the images and so here are a few of our favourites.
Prague Revisited
Susie and I managed to get away recently and spent some time in one of our favourite cities.
One of the many great things we like about Prague is the short distance from the UK which means the flights are only 1hr and 45 mins.
As always whenever we travel, the biggest obstacle to overcome is getting out of the the UK with our camera gear despite scaling down the amount of kit.
Funny thing is we don’t seem to have any problems anywhere else and that includes getting back in to the UK.
We stayed again at the www.hiltonhotel.com which is just on the outskirts of the city, and just set back from the banks of the river Vltava.
One of the many things we enjoy when away is that we can do plenty of walking as this means we get to see more of the place which in turn means we get to take more pictures. Prague is a really easy city to walk around. Good walking shoes recommended!
This trip we managed to visit the www.imperialcafe.cz – Wow – what a fantastic meal(s) we had. The whole experience was fabulous, from the food to the service to the setting. Highly recommended. In fact it was so good we went back the following night and then again the following lunchtime.
Here are just a few of the many images we took on our trip.
View along River Vltava – 2nd Bridge from bottom is Charles Bridge.
Picture below was taken in the Jewish quarter.
Changing of the guards at Prague Castle.
Some disused wooden doors from the "Communist Era" and before. They are underneath what is now the "Metronome" which is where a Statue of Stalin used to stand overlooking Prague.
Jewish Ghetto area – Josefov
A couple of Infra red images from the Jewish Cemetery
You don’t get door furniture like that in B&Q
Sarah, Humphrey, and Southern
I’ve just had a fabulous shoot with Sarah and her horses, Humphrey the hunter (Dapple Grey), Southern the thoroughbred and not forgetting (because he wouldn’t let us) Bill the mischievous one.
I originally met with Sarah two weeks ago when we had originally scheduled the shoot. After spending time preparing the horses we were unfortunate and in true English summer style the weather caused us to rearrange until today.
After spending time in ‘makeup’ having their manes platted and toes painted we were ready to go.
Humphrey has wonderful dapple markings and his temperament was really gentle.
Southern was rather impatient and wanted to be occupied.
Bill who I am told is the older of the horses is a really strong character, full of mischief, putting the others off initially so he had to be put inside so we could continue the shoot. He still made himself heard.
Here are a few of our favourite images from many……
Kennedy Sisters continued………
This is the second part to a shoot we did a few weeks ago.
When we did the original shoot the weather was not in our favour for getting some outdoor images.
This time however we were in luck and here are a few of our favourite images…………
Lauren and Friends – Prom Night
This is quite a long post with more images than usual.
Here are some of our favourite images from a shoot this week which we did of Lauren and her friends, Courtney, Bonnie, Hobey, Jack and Graeme.
Following a few stressful months of exams it was their chance to party at the school prom night which was held at www.rogerthorpemanor.co.uk.
Not wanting to point out the obvious as you may already have gathered, pink is Lauren’s favourite colour as you will see with the open topped Cadillac from www.cinderellacars.co.uk and www.limohirewestyorkshire.co.uk
Over in the States and Canada there is a large market for ’seniors’ photography. In the UK this is much less common.
South of England Portrait Shoot
This weekend found us down in the South of England again.
After a shaky start the weather was a scorcher.
We had a great portrait shoot in a wonderful garden which proved to be a brilliant location.
I even managed to get a few shots of the family dog.
Here are just a few of the edited highlights.
