Sarah, Humphrey, and Southern
I’ve just had a fabulous shoot with Sarah and her horses, Humphrey the hunter (Dapple Grey), Southern the thoroughbred and not forgetting (because he wouldn’t let us) Bill the mischievous one.
I originally met with Sarah two weeks ago when we had originally scheduled the shoot. After spending time preparing the horses we were unfortunate and in true English summer style the weather caused us to rearrange until today.
After spending time in ‘makeup’ having their manes platted and toes painted we were ready to go.
Humphrey has wonderful dapple markings and his temperament was really gentle.
Southern was rather impatient and wanted to be occupied.
Bill who I am told is the older of the horses is a really strong character, full of mischief, putting the others off initially so he had to be put inside so we could continue the shoot. He still made himself heard.
Here are a few of our favourite images from many……
Kennedy Sisters continued………
This is the second part to a shoot we did a few weeks ago.
When we did the original shoot the weather was not in our favour for getting some outdoor images.
This time however we were in luck and here are a few of our favourite images…………
Lauren and Friends – Prom Night
This is quite a long post with more images than usual.
Here are some of our favourite images from a shoot this week which we did of Lauren and her friends, Courtney, Bonnie, Hobey, Jack and Graeme.
Following a few stressful months of exams it was their chance to party at the school prom night which was held at www.rogerthorpemanor.co.uk.
Not wanting to point out the obvious as you may already have gathered, pink is Lauren’s favourite colour as you will see with the open topped Cadillac from www.cinderellacars.co.uk and www.limohirewestyorkshire.co.uk
Over in the States and Canada there is a large market for ’seniors’ photography. In the UK this is much less common.
South of England Portrait Shoot
This weekend found us down in the South of England again.
After a shaky start the weather was a scorcher.
We had a great portrait shoot in a wonderful garden which proved to be a brilliant location.
I even managed to get a few shots of the family dog.
Here are just a few of the edited highlights.
Kirk Family Shoot
I’ve just had a really great shoot with Tom, Georgia and Sebastian.
It was like meeting up with a long lost friend as she showed me around her garden.
Any good shoot always ends on a trampoline.
There were too many areas to shoot in and these are just a few of many wonderful images from the session.
The Kennedy Sisters
Normally when I take photographs in a church it is to capture the intimate moments of a wedding ceremony.
However, this was a shoot of three sisters in a fabulous converted church.
Here are a few of our favourites.
Garside Family Photo Shoot (not forgetting Dillon)
We have just had a photo shoot in North Yorkshire with the Garside family and Dillon.
The shoot was the result of Leigh ringing to purchase one of our Shoot Gift Vouchers for Helen and Martin’s recent wedding anniversary.
Dillon was non stop and certainly didn’t mind having his picture taken.
Here are a few of our favourite images from the shoot.
Lydia
I recently met Lydia, (a very chatty) three year old, her new baby brother William, Liz and Ben (aka mum and dad).
Lydia has the most wonderful red curly hair. She was a delight to work with and made my job of photography very easy, but the job of editing very difficult.
As you can see from some of the shots, the weather was not at it’s brightest. I do like the effect that the mist in the background has created though and the overall lighting was very soft.
After a great deal of deliberation here are some of our favourite images.
Here is Lydia’s little brother William
Swidler Portrait Shoot
It’s not every day, in fact to be honest it’s never happened before, that a wild bright green parrot flies in front of our car as we arrive at our shoot location. Wow.
Our location was Windsor and we were there to photograph a family with 5 children ranging from 8 down to 3.
It was great weather for shooting and we kept everything natural with just a little help from a reflector now and again.
Here are some of our favourite images from the shoot.
